About
Spanish Oregano Essential Oil, also known as Thymus capitatus, is a rare Mediterranean variety with a carvacrol content of 65%. Though called oregano, it actually belongs to the thyme family, giving it a sharper and more intense aroma than common oregano (Origanum vulgare). Steam-distilled from plants grown in Albania, this oil has been valued for centuries along Mediterranean trade routes for its bold, herbaceous fragrance. With its penetrating warmth and vitality, Spanish oregano remains a distinctive essential in aromatherapy—bringing strength, balance, and depth to blends.

Use
Often used in aromatherapy for its strong, herbaceous character. Blends well with thyme, rosemary, basil, and tea tree to create robust, energizing compositions.

Notes
A pale yellow to amber oil with a herbaceous edge. Its high carvacrol content makes it especially potent—use sparingly in blends.
